Something old is new again....my Bench "after" picts

A few posts back I showed my sad little bench that I had envisioned a little lovelier~SOOOO.....Here it is!

                   What do you guys think??? I love the way it turned out...I think this fabric is perfect!

I think that the stain looked great with the fabric but I just wanted to update the look alot and see it a different way~

A Sweet breeze is a blowin'....

~Nothing fancy happened. Nothing extraordinary happened. "Same old thing....". But the Lord touched me & gave me the magic of an ordinary day....which can sometimes get slippery & it finds cracks in the midst to fall through, and it escapes you altogether. I haven't been thankful enough lately for the same old grind. I wanted to go on a little vacation or an adventure or SOMETHING. Which there is nothing wrong with that at all...but to not see the simple things---that's where it's at! I enjoyed the rain yesterday (we needed it), getting out for several hours with my husband & eating some good food, &  just getting a small ways away and getting a breath. Today, it is kinda overcast, but there's a sweet breeze blowing~ refreshing to say the least. The 'everyday' things is the "main" things in life....there are a whole lot more of those things than wild adventures in another country (sometimes I can dream BIG! :) Hope your days are sweet & most of all that you recognize the good things in front of you~

My moma told me several times when she was alive, that you don't know how it feels not to beable to breathe, until you can't (she had asthma). Sometimes you can get overwhelmed with life, but if you can just get a hold of a breath of fresh perspective & take a real deep whiff....it will all be okay. The Lord cares about the big & little things in our life & our minds....for which I'm Forever amazed by Him.

Man's best friend...."Oreo"

Well, this is our dog that adopted us a while back~ He's really very friendly, but I have just never been able to put him in the place of our dog we had until just this year...she was my baby. Her name was Angel.

But I can't really complain about him....he's sweet as he can be & a good lookin' guy too :) I love his coloring~His name is Oreo

This year I have opened up an Etsy shop to sell handmade items...but have had conflicting thoughts about what I really want to make....sooooo, I have been pondering this. Before I got a bunch of stuff on there...I wanted to make a change for the better, that's why I haven't been very active on my shop~ I'm hoping to make some MAJOR changes in what is gonna be on there & possibly have someone working with me! Yall stay tuned in over the rest of this year, and see what will be going on....I may give yall a few hints here in there...:)

An "Almost" after picture~

Here's a quick picture so you can see the fabric and get an idea how it will look.....it's  getting late & I need to get into dreamland QUICK so talk to yall later....(I wish it was that easy to get to sleep!--if there is a button for it, I can't always find it!) Goodnight!!

Cushion is made from freebie stuff around the house (pillows & batting I already had) It turned out as good as I had hoped it would & then some...but when you are using a mish-mash of stuff you really never know. I think my husband really liked it too, so that was what counted to me!



Ever Had a "Work In Progress?"

Well, as soon as I saw this little bench..."project" came to mind. It came with some other pieces, but it never was really usable like it was. I wish I had a complete before picture, but I was already in the process when I thought of posting pictures. Hubby took it apart and put wood glue in it to sturdy it back up....then he took off most of fabric and innerds~I finished it up by cleaning out all tacks, staples and such. I will have to post an after picture of it...but I believe yall will agree with me it is much improved! I made a new upostered top for it with some more up-to-date fabric that I really love that I found on sale. I may paint the body of it but I will post a "dry fit" so you can see progress so far~

                I might salvage some of it and wash for another project...don't know yet.

Majesty of God....

This is just barely a percent of how awesome the sky was yesterday....I could not get a good view where I was but it was so gorgeous~I wish so bad that I could have captured it...As soon as I get one that is, I'll post it...I love sunsets/sunrises.
